H5N1 Familial Cluster Within Menoufia Cluster

The above translation defines a familial cluster within the Menoufia geographical cluster. The number of confirmed and suspect cases in this governorate is significant. Two of the confirmed cases (26F, 22F) are there, as are 9 suspect cases (see satellite map). In addition to the familial cluster, the are at least two additional geographical clusters involving a confirmed and suspect case foring one cluster, and two suspect cases form a second geographical cluster within the cluster.
Thus, in total there are 11 confirmed or suspect H5N1 cases in Menoufia, and three clusters within the cluster. These suspect clusters have been reported in the past few days, so more information on additional laboratory tests should be available.
Release of this additional information would be useful.
