Suspect H5N1 Jakarta Cluster Index Case Dies

Metro TV station reported that the patient was identified as Dyah, 38.
Just before she died, Dyah husband and son were also admitted to the hospital due to a symptom of being infected with bird flu virus.

The above comments indicate the second confirmed case in Jakarta has died.  As indicated, two additional family members have been admitted with bird flu symptoms.  Local media reports describe two additional admissions in Jakarta

The high fatality rate, coupled with symptoms in contacts, remain causes for concern.
