They have included two boys, aged 6 and 9, a 16-year-old girl, and the 18-year-old woman from Hau Giang province. Besides the 35-year-old woman in Tra Vinh, an 18-year-old woman remained in critical condition today, according to an Agence France-Presse report.<< Recent reports of five fatalities among the six confirmed bird flu cases confirm earlier reports. In addition to the confirmed deaths, there is one unconfirmed death in the south and one in the north. The case in the north is among the three older males that generated a new demographic. There are also 10 suspected cases in the south, including the one fatality. Lab results on these suspect cases would be useful, along with sequences information on isolated H5N1. Media link |
