UAE Beta2c Coronavirus Critical Case In Munich Germany
Recombinomics Commentary 21:00
March 25, 2013

On 10 March he was admitted to a hospital in Abu Dhabi, last Tuesday, he met by private jet for one treatment on the Isar. Since the disease was not yet known, but he was already so bad that he was connected to a breathing system. With an intensive care ambulance we went to Schwabing. The doctors quickly typed on a serious infection and quartered him on the isolation ward. On Saturday struck the laboratory alarm: It is actually the novel human coronavirus Beta 2c EMC/2012!

The above translation describes the first lab confirmed nCoV case from the United Arab Emirates (UAE).  The lab confirmation was in Munich, Germany, where the patient is being treated after transport by air ambulance.

This would represent the first 2013 nCoV case not linked to Saudi Arabia, although the above comments do not give the travel history of the case in the days prior to admission in Abu Dhabi on March 10.

More detail on this patient would be useful.  It is now coronavirus season, based on the 2003 SARS-CoV outbreak, and reports of mild cases in Saudi Arabia, with a concentration in Jeddah has caused considerable concern.
