Once again, these were severe case with one patient dead and the other in critical condition. As seen on the map, these cases surround Shanghai, but are widespread. The latest cases increase concerns that the presence of D225G and Q226L represents human adaption of a lethal bird flu virus that has a greater pandemic potential than H5N1.
