Public Health (Diskes) Pekanbaru Friday (3 / 4), found two people fell ill on the road Rejosari fever heat. Officers also found two chickens that died suddenly poultry. This location is just 500 meters from the place of Ibn Wahyu Saputra, victims of bird flu.

From the results of the health check, only two people this fever are common. But we still give tamiflu drug,''said Naviri to Riau Pos, Friday.

The above translation identifies two more people with fevers who live near the confirmed toddler.  Since they were identified during a canvassing of the area (see updated map), it seems unlikely that these two residents are the grandparents or father of the index case.  The father was said to have been still in the hospital, while the grandparents were said to have had symptoms earlier.  The two most recent cases have links to dead poultry and have been given Tamiflu, although H5N1 confirmation has not been obtained yet for the poultry or the neighbors.  However, confirmation of bird flu in non-fatal cases in Indonesia is rare.
