H3N2v LaPorte County
Fair Cases Grow " My Daughter still has systoms. She has NOT fully recovered....Further more there more than 4 children effected. At least 10 to 15 that I know of not including adults that were also effected. Fact of this situation need to be accurate. My daughter was rushed to the ER on July 12th also with 104 temperature. and one of our pigs was severely sick. The people that brought in the sick pigs are known but no one wants to confront them. I have notified them. They have not responded. " innacurate wrote on Jul 26, 2012 1:57 PM: " There were a lot more than 4 people affected by this. There were SEVERAL individuals with symptoms, including 4 just in my family. I agree with "accountable", why wasn't this a breaking story earlier? " The above comments are anonymous and posted at another media site and may overlap the cases cited previously, which included Facebook registered names. However, media reports have claimed that the four confirmed cases were three children and one adult. The above comments cite additional adult cases as well as four cases from one family, which is the highest noted by posters (others cited familial clusters of 2 and 3). These comments strongly suggest that the number of symptomatic attendees was significantly above the 4 confirmed cases or the dozen cited in a media report. More information on symptomatic cases who attended the LaPorte County Fair or had contact with associated swine would be useful. Recombinomics
