CIDRAP Maintains Media Myth On trH3N2  Swine Exposure
Recombinomics Commentary 05:30
November 23, 2011

Nov 22, 2011 (CIDRAP News)
Though rare, the swine-origin flu infections in humans can occur, especially after close contact with swine.

The above attempt by CIDRAP to maintain the media myth on swine exposure, after the confirmation of the trH3N2 cluster in Iowa, raises serious questions about the agency’s abilities to analyze or report news.

The “swine exposure” myth with regard to trH3N2 cases, spread by the CDC and associated media and ProMED reports, ended with the Iowa cluster.

CIDRAP should issue a retraction immediately.
