H5N1 Cluster in Jiangsu China

The above translation from the China ministry of Health web site indicates the father developed symptoms Dec 2, the day his son died.  His son developed symptoms on Nov 24 and was hospitalized Nov 27 and was H5N1 confirmed

Confirmation of H5N1 in the father raises concerns of human to human transmission, because of the time gap between the disease onset dates.  Transmission of H5N1 to humans in China is rarely reported.  The confirmation in the son is the first this year, further supporting transmission from the son to his father.
